Fishing Report

It was a bit of a frustrating week at the fishery last week. Some days there was fish showing in all parts of the lake but still difficult to catch. Other days the fish would go down to cooler water and were possibly feeding on something coming off the weed. Nearly all of the fish caught in the last seven days were caught with daddies or hoppers or if you were on a boat pulling a small lure not far down. Chris Cullen had a good day netting eight rainbows at the north east corner with a combination of hoppers and buzzers proving that it is still possible to entice them. Very early in the morning and very late in the day the lake seems to comes alive with lots of trout taking off the top especially just before dark so it really does make sense right not to take advantage of the summer special ticket and we have extended the closing time from 9pm to dusk which means you can fish later if you like. Although fishing has been tougher in the last couple of weeks, that is to be expected as the weather starts to warm up but  there has never been a better time to be at the lake and enjoy the challenge.  John Reynolds had a group for tuition and they enjoyed their day - pic is a couple landed using daddies and hoppers.
