We had the first real frost this morning so we are expecting a good start to this week with conditions pretty much perfect and the water crystal clear. The past week saw plenty of rain and plenty of rainbows caught with the fish being very active and up for the fight. The fish were not far down again so it was possible to entice them up with a dry fly even though they were not always visibly feeding from the top. The klinkhammers and cdcs worked wonders again at times last week. Other patterns working were snakes, buzzers, blobs ,shrimp and cats whiskers usually within the top four feet. The Apps bloodworm probably caught more than anything else in the last seven days with Dattie Barnard having a great day landing 24 and many others having success with this pattern. It was great to see so many father and sons out on the lake again this week. With under sixteens fishing alongside an adult for only £5 it's a relatively inexpensive bonding experience and we can help out with equipment if needed. The boats and the bank were working equally well last week which is great to see and we are expecting more of the same this week. Picture Onicala Robert Daniel
