We are happy to report that the water level is holding up well and since reopening on the 15th of September we have had a steady flow of anglers visiting. We were unable to restock on the 11th as planned because of the hot weather so we were not really sure what to expect. Even without introducing new fish and with the water temperature being higher than we would like most anglers that came found a way to net a good number. Colin Hall managed nine with pin fry patterns on one visit and Martin Smith had fourteen with eggs and buzzers. Nearly all of the fish caught were in healthy condition, which is great to see as this can only get better with cooler temperatures and rain on the way. Buzzers, hares ear nymphs and pheasant tail nymphs all worked well, especially under an indicator a couple of feet down. Marc Beall who had a lesson while staying in one of the cabins with his wife had a really good day fishing off the jetty with an apps bloodworm. The results this week were much better than expected and are very excited for what lies ahead. Congratulations to the raffle winner of the season ticket, Chris Natriss. Restock Monday September, 25th.
