It was another terrific weeks angling, last week, with most visitors seeing a good amount of action and with spring like weather at times it was a real pleasure being out there. Now and again the fish could be tempted to take a dry off the top but the majority were caught with a wide range of lures. The usual cats and damsels took plenty of trout but black and green patterns such as Montanas or pitsford peas performed well as did the pink snake. Chris Cullen had eleven to the net and a good number of those were taken using an orange and gold lure. Blobs red and orange were a good bet along with apps bloodworm and the shammy worked well again.
Fish were still being caught in most areas of the lake last week but the bigger numbers were still being caught at the north east corner especially especially when the wind was blowing in to it. The pictures are of Wilton Jefferson with one he caught with a buzzer. Conditions are supposed to be mild again this week so hopefully we see you out on the banks.
