Same patterns working as they did last week. Medium sized lures of all colours working especially yellow, white and pink. Red Apps and pink Apps worked often and when used under an indicator at the right depth they worked beautifully. Although these flies accounted for the majority of fish caught, now and again somebody would try something different and have a cracking day using dawl bachs, small dries or an emerger with cracking results. With the colder weather, fishing was already improving daily with some good numbers coming in but with the restock early last week it improved things further. Fishing from the boats and banks were pretty much equal unless the fish happened to shoal in the centre of the lake and then the boats could really come into their own and could easily reach high double figures. Last week the most successful banks were car park corner or the east side of the lake with the jetty also doing well at times. This week we have cold dry weather coming so if you don't mind standing out in it, fishing will no doubt continue to be excellent. Tea and Coffee in the kitchen to keep you warm plus a few snacks for sale in the tuck shop. Spaces are filling steadily for the 'Fun Day' on the 17th of December.
