The last seven days at Blackdyke was another consistent week of fishing. With about 90 percent of anglers catching and some catching in the high teens and better. A few of the larger fish made an appearance and the fish have started to move around the lake a bit more. The shallow water in front of the carpark is still a good bet but they are now moving up the right side and around the north corner as well. A good example of this was Saturday when Jack Roden had eighteen from the bank and John Crook had at least that from the boat. The majority of these were taken at the north end with a combination of buzzers and eggs.
Plenty of fish were caught on lures also with damsels, dancers and snakes being consistent throughout the week. With the weather being much milder it was actually quite pleasant out there for most of last week and this week looks to be even better. The water clarity is superb at the moment and we have a restock on Wednesday 8th so we are set up nicely for another seven days of fun. Pictures of Martin Smith with his 5lber he caught on an egg,
