Fishing Report

Week ending 11/09/2022

After reopening a week ago there have been quite a few positives to take away. We have had plenty of rain and the lake feels fresh. The new fish that went in at the start of the month have settled in beautifully and are very active and spread out around the lake. A good number of anglers have visited Blackdyke over the last week eager to get back to doing what they love. We also welcomed quite a few new faces which is great and the lessons for people new to the sport have been very popular also. The fishing has been a little hit and miss and it feels as if we need a week of consistent weather before we get back to normal. The fish have been caught on all sides of the lake with quite a few different methods with the bank definitely out fishing the boats. Early on in the week blobs and fabs a little way down were doing the trick. Through the week damsels have been consistent and occasionally a Montana and cats whisker have also caught fish. Nymphs have also caught this week with the hares ear working the best.

Now that we know the conditions are right we are going to restock again this week which should set us up for some fantastic fishing.

We are closed from 15:00 on Tuesday the 13th of September and will reopen 11am Wednesday the 13th of September.
