Fishing Report

Much of last week was tough going again and a few days had to be written off because of the heavy rain. While fish could be caught on many different lures, black or white snakes, damsels, Montanas and green fritz did the best. At other times your best bet could be a static blob, fab or apps bloodworm. The most prolific areas again were up the east bank especially the north east corner.

We have had a good number of anglers new to fly fishing taking lessons at the lake which is fantastic to see. On Sunday we were happy to host Andrew Armstrong and the guys from Lovalls on their away day. They soon got the hang of it and although fishing was tough they had alot of fun on the banks. In the picture is Lamin Ceesay from their group with a fish caught on a hot headed black snake.
