Last week was a very similar week to the week before. Lures, especially whites ones were still your best bet, usually pulled quite slowly.
Pheasant tail nymphs had its moments as did buzzers and bloodworm but there really wasn't any consistent pattern to the trouts behaviour.
They were well spread around the lake again but there were as many caught in the first few feet as there were almost right on the bottom.
With a few frosty mornings already and more to come, everyone is waiting for it to kick in for real. With more fish going in within the week and the colder conditions, we are expecting the sport to improve very soon.
